A friend suggested that I read this article, Zapping the Brain Improves Math Skills. He asked if this was something I would consider. Well, check it out for yourself HERE.
My response was this: Interesting... although I don't like the tone of this article. Finding a way to lessen a "math disability" is much like finding a way to make the weak guy stronger, and we all know steroids are frowned upon. Besides, I look at my strong math skills as a talent rather than a normal capacity for calculations. Instead of zapping students, teachers need to change the way mathematics are taught.
What are your thoughts?
